Karen Davies
Food has been my passion and my vocation for most of my life.
I started baking at the age of eight with my grandma and by age 14 was
preparing food for large banquets. A few years later I started my formal
chef training at Northampton College, and started working full time in the
catering industry. In 1995 I returned to college as a pastry and
confectionery lecturer and have continued to update my skills and techniques
throughout this time whilst putting it into practice in the real world.
Starting out as a commis chef in a restaurant, my professional career continued and developed within the hotel and conferencing sector, managing and training staff. I now run my own catering business and continue to share my passion with both my staff and my clients, young and old. I am always keen to share my knowledge, skills, techniques and ideas and I hope you can join us on a course and enjoy the experience.
