Philippe Boucheron
Wine is a way of life for Philippe Boucheron. For some 35 years he has been writing on the subject. In 1987 he began broadcasting, organising tastings and even taking groups from the Sunday Times Wine Club and other organisations to vineyards as far a field as Champagne and the Cape.
He was the 1996 Wine Guild of the United Kingdom’s Regional Wine Writer of the Year.
A former vice chairman of The Circle of Wine Writers, he is committed to improving the standards of communication about wines and spirits. He is also very much involved in promoting awareness of the health giving properties of red wine.
A keen advocate for maintaining the balance of nature, Philippe is an enthusiastic supporter of both organic and biodynamic wines.
A regular after-dinner speaker, Philippe knows that people learn more by being entertained than by being talked at. As a result his talks and wine tastings can be fascinating, always informative and most of all FUN!
