Rob Rees
One of the UKs leading Chefs and consultants, dedicated to creating a better food culture for Britain. He balances social aspects of his work with his private interests of consultant, demonstrator, food columnist, writer and chef. He is a real charmer and an inspiration to all who listen from child to adult.
Rob has actively campaigned around issues on education, health, nutrition, food safety and consumer issues for many years.
Amongst Robs work he is Board Member of Visit England, Board Member of the School Food Trust, former Trustee for the British Nutrition Foundation and a former Board Member of the Food Standards Agency. In December 2007 he took up an appointment as a Non Executive Director of Gloucestershire’s Primary Care Trust.
Rob is Chairman of £1million Gloucestershire Health 4 Schools project and CEO of The Wiggly Worm Ltd and Director of The Cotswold Chef™
His own projects work at developing the skills, careers and educational options for young people and vulnerable adults and have affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of school age consumers in the last 10 years.
As food policy Director with Gloucestershire Food Vision Rob has helped secure £2.4million for Tewkesbury to be one of the Governments new Healthy Towns establishing the areas “Count me in” Campaign.
Rob is often featured in local, regional and national media commenting on food, health and important consumer related matters and for many years in partnership with Visit Britain and others has had a role in promoting the Uk and its culture throughout the globe.
Rob has particular skills at facilitating organisational structures to work better together, focussing on changes in attitudes to policy, delivery and customer engagement. His work ranges from National to local with a wealth of experience, skills and positive results.
In Jan 2006 Rob Rees was awarded an MBE for services to the “Food Industry”
